Welcome to My Sewing Box, a bespoke fashion and costume design workshop in Manchester city centre (England).

​Hi, my name is Silvia and I am a professional fashion and costume designer and maker based in Manchester city centre, England, where as well as designing my own collection, I run my bespoke fashion and costume business, designing and making bespoke costumes, bespoke bridal gowns, sustainable wedding dresses, special occasion outfits and hand crafted street couture. Since I graduated in 2000 in the UK with a BA in fashion design, I have travelled the world making fantastic creations, as well as spreading my knowledge lecturing fashion design at University.

​ I also teach dressmaking, sewing, and fashion related courses from my lovely studio in Manchester city centre.

My work has been featured in Vogue Italy amongst other fashion magazines, has been shown at parades, has been worn by celebrities, has been on TV and newspapers, exhibited in galleries and fashion shows, and worn by performers in festivals and the circus.

Many brides have said “yes” in them!

​From my workshop, ​I design and lovingly hand-make every garment from scratch, for each individual customer.

I also make bridal gown alterations, customization and upcycling.
