WHO ARE YOU?

My name is Claire Gavin and I am the owner of Polished Nails & Beauty, established back in 2015. I have managed 2 salons previous to Polished and I’ve personally achieved CND Grand Master Nail Artist status. As well as this I am a High Definition Brows Master Stylist and I’ve been trained in CND Nails, High Definition Nails, LVL Enhance and PhiBrows Microblading.

MY EXPERIENCE

In 2001 I started as a Nail Technician working in my mum’s tanning salon in West Park. After 6 years, the business was sold and I went freelance for a few years. Following that, I was headhunted to manage a prestigious salon located in Drakes Shopping Mall. During that time, I completed a BSc in Psychology and started a DTTLS (Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector) qualification so I could teach over 16s. My passion and desire drove me to opening a small salon in Lipson so I could work in a happy yet professional environment. 3 years on and I’m now the owner of Polished.

WHAT MAKES POLISHED DIFFERENT?

Polished has grown a large client base over the past 2 years by offering high quality treatments whilst building a rapport with every single customer. The feedback that we have received from customers has been very positive; our clients have said they feel relaxed and that they have fun at our salon. I have 14 years experience in the beauty industry and this is what I’ve passed on to each member of our staff. Our staff are trained to the highest standard and they are passionate about the beauty industry. In fact, we are the only salon in Plymouth that has all CND Master Nail Artists.
